Kenneth Wiland Architect, LLC is a sole practitioner residential architecture firm based in Charleston, South Carolina. The firm strives to provide clients with elegant yet restrained architectural solutions grounded in the timeless principles of traditional construction methods.
Kenneth was trained in New York City from 2007 to 2013 and mentored by architects Douglas Wright and Oliver Cope. He believes in creating comprehensive construction drawings which allow contractors to build on schedule and budget while minimizing unexpected costs and delays during construction.
Kenneth received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Duke University in 2003 and a Master of Architecture degree from Syracuse University in 2007. He completed a certificate program at the Harvard School of Design and studied Roman & Renaissance architecture in Florence, Italy while at Syracuse.
Kenneth has professional experience working in a variety of locations along the East Coast including the coastal islands of South Carolina, The Hamptons, Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, Palm Beach, and Manhattan’s Upper East and Upper West Sides. Early in his career he won first place in a national residential design competition featured in Architectural Digest and judged by acclaimed interior designers Clodagh and Laura Kirar.
Kenneth and his wife, Ashley, reside in Charleston, South Carolina with their two sons.
